The Chicago Caledonian Pipes and Drums is a professional, progressive bagpipe band known for setting new musical standards by creating extraordinary bagpipe music, rooted in the rich and exacting standards of Irish and Scottish bagpipe traditions.

Founded on the south side of Chicago in 1997, our band is a collaboration of seasoned musicians dedicated to sharing and preserving the love of bagpipe music. This unique, soulful blend of tones and sounds appeals to a wide mix of ages and cultures, leading us to become one of the top requested bands in the state for special ceremonies and events, major festivals, parades and other commemorative events, political functions, and memorial services.

With a major emphasis on band competition, Chicago Caledonian Pipes and Drums also is a force within the Midwest Pipe Band Association, the Alliance of North American Pipe Band Associations, and the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association. Our band is among the most successful pipe bands from the Midwest, appearing regularly at the top of prize lists around the world.
